once again upset about how techbros push to abstract away the internals of "artificial intelligence"
no matter how much you abstract it its still math! math can't make independent and moral decisions!! the decisions your model will make are a proxy for the input data it was fed and the way it was programmed!! you can't make strict math sentient!

Give me good design or the detailed vestiges of aging: a patina, a history, an unfolding process clear to the eye or fingers. I have no time for this "new world", a lie that denies its past yet supports a present devoid of care. Maybe my ears have tolerated this emphemera, ever indulging the new and the transitional. @binarycat I had a blind developer user when I was employed as local IT support for a company. I had to reinstall the company's Linux image on his computer, so he had to show me everything he needed installed and I found it really interesting, and he was kind enough to answer my questions about it too. He also had one of the coolest devices I've seen a braille display that outputted TTY or terminal display so he could read it and code.

I'm learning all around me right now!! I'm studying film and screen art at uni but I'm mostly taking classes in things that pluck my interest: coding, electronics, analogue film+photo and media culture/history courses.
