What’s the origin of the {internal} / [external] link syntax, using braces/brackets?
(See wiki.xxiivv.com & various other sites on the webring)

@rutherford It's just something I made up. I didn't want to use colors or a graphic to differentiate between the two. I think some people liked that so it caught on, now I see it everwhere. I like that convention for wikis.

@neauoire @rutherford I used the → (right arrow html symbol,) after links to external sites, in my personal website. Good to know others felt the need to express this (rather large IMO) difference. Also glad a standard is emerging.

@furiousgreencloud @neauoire Right, I’ve also used ↗ (↗) in a few places. For a wiki-style site I think Devine’s solution is excellent, too many arrows starts to feel intrusive imo
