LIVE Biennale is excited to announce the launch of our new multi-year website.

With LIVE’s iterative nature this platform will be the site for engagement between festival years. This website is also the home of our ongoing archive project which includes an artist index connecting the early years of LIVE (1999-2005), organized by grunt gallery, to the 9 biennales (2007-2023) LIVE has hosted since becoming an independent non-profit.

We at LIVE Biennale are deeply saddened by the tragic event that took place on Saturday night during the Lapu Lapu event in Vancouver.

Words cannot fathom the extremity of what has happened. It is heartbreaking, off-putting, and profoundly tragic. We are mourning the deaths of the innocent, sending our prayers to those recovering, and holding close in our thoughts all those who attended and have been affected, along with their families and loved ones.
